The group, led by organiser Tumelo Sedibe, consisted of about six people from both KaBokweni and Mataffin. Sedibe mentioned that they have previously taken a stance against gender based violence, and decided that this, too, needed their attention.
They were seen holding signs with varying messages. From the intersection, he said they would be moving on to the taxi rank as many people can be reached there.
“I think this can make a difference, especially if it is shared by the media as well,” said Sedibe.

Sedibe, who was also a top 5 finalist in the running towards becoming Mr Mpumalanga, sent out an open invitation via his personal Facebook page to join the initiative.
The group will be deciding day-by-day how to continue approaching this subject.
