SAPS report of findings in White River Police Station saga postponed

The SAPS was supposed to release the report on its internal investigation into the incident today.

However, it has announced that these findings would only be made public at a later date.

The investigation was launched after a video had gone viral on social media, depicting a man being assaulted in the station as some police officers stood idly by.

AfriForum has taken on the case of the man who was assaulted, Barend Byliefeldt, and his fiancée, Delia Human.

AfriForum said it was only told at the last minute that the meeting had been rescheduled. It is awaiting the findings before moving forward with the case.
