WATCH: McDonald’s swoops in again at various schools

The treat forms part of a partnership between McDonald's Nelspruit and Lowvelder. Each week we choose a class of a local school and bust it with free burgers and juices for lunch.

Tiny Tots delighted with surprise

The little faces at Little Souls Montessori pre-primary lit up when Lowvelder and McDonald’s busted them with burgers on Tuesday.
The 40 tiny tots were delighted when they saw their surprise.

After Siphosihle Tlakula sang a prayer, the learners dug into their cheeseburgers and gulped down their apple juices.

“Thank you so much. This was awesome,” principal Chantelle Marais said.

The school is based on a child-centred philosophy where each child follows the curriculum at their own pace.

It is a sensory-focused curriculum where a child is taught by making use of his or her senses, for example, when teaching the alphabet, a letter will be made out of sandpaper so that a child can touch, see and hear the letter.

93 Learners get a tasty surprise

The faces of the 93 grade four learners of Klipspringer Primary lit up when they were surprised by the McDonald’s and Lowvelder burger bust team. Each child received their own junior burger and juice and after saying grace together, they dug in.

This class was chosen because of how well behaved they are during the construction that is currently taking place at the school.

Lowvelder
‘s marketing manager urged the class to continue with their exemplary behaviour.

Kabouterland kiddies are all burgers and smiles

Kabouterland Pre-Primary Créche and Nursery School in Steiltes received their #ImLovinIt #MacBust as a farewell gift from their teacher, Bianca Grundling who is serving her last month at the créche before embarking on a new venture.

When the team arrived at the nursery school, the tiny tots were out on a break and when they returned to class, their faces lit up at the sight of the treats on the desk.

The 32 grade RR students enjoyed the farewell present and they tucked into the meal as the aroma wafted through the classroom.
