Expansion and upgrades to put the town of Steelpoort on the map.

“There will be a school erected in the area. It will be a combined school which will compliment the only school in the town (Steelpoort Academy). To combat crime and ensure safer shopping, the town will be upgraded with a new 24-hour police station,” he added.

STEELPOORT – Shoppers must not be surprised by the many developments in the CBD. The town is currently undergoing a rejuvenation.

The expansion will include over 100 stores, 60 per cent of which are big-name national franchises.

The director of Goldbroz Investment, Mr Nicholas Shapley the new management of the town, said that they aim at developing the town in a proper way.

“We will be upgrading the centre, with the aim of people stopping by and shopping around. This town will be more accessible and convenient,” he said.

Goldbroz Investment is not only aiming to improve the CBD, it will also ensure that the lives of the locals change for the better.

“There will be a school erected in the area. It will be a combined school which will compliment the only school in the town (Steelpoort Academy). To combat crime and ensure safer shopping, the town will be upgraded with a new 24-hour police station,” he added.

The existing Steelpoort complex is also facing refurbishment with the likes of Pick n Pay currently being revamped.

Bus and taxi commuters will also benefit from the development as the town planners aim at building a bus parking area as well as a taxi rank. Also on the list for the town is an improved sewage plant. For more on this article grab a copy of the Steelburger/Lydenburg News tomorrow.
