A great many dogs owe their lives to Home4Paws

LYDENBURG – Home4Paws is turning one this year. For the past year Ms Cathy Schutte, whose passion for animals led her to open the shelter, has been taking in stray and abused dogs.

At the moment Home4Paws is taking care of more than 50 stray dogs of which 28 are puppies.

Apart from dogfood, the shelter is also in desperate need of blankets and toys for the puppies.

“I work closely with Susan Schoeman of Lapsar (Lydenburg Animal Protection and Rescue Services). We share dog food, blankets and other necessities. Susan mainly caters for the bigger breed dogs and I focus mainly on small breeds.

“We are currently in desperate need of food, blankets, toys and corrugated iron for shelter. If anyone has any old storage boxes we would also appreciate it. It protects the toys and blankets from the rain.”

All Home4Paws dogs are vaccinated and sterilised before adoption.
