Hustle and bustle as the newbies settle in for the year

There was a hustle and bustle at Penryn Preparatory School on Wednesday morning when the teachers and principals welcomed its grade ones.

MBOMBELA – Sixty-three little ones made their way to their classrooms as they settled in for the start of the academic year.

“On their first day they learnt the word “look”, a sight word. We went to visit all the other classes and took the pupils on a tour. The grade ones are full of excitement for the year ahead and it is so rewarding to teach,” said one of the teachers, Ms Lauren McLean.

Twins, Michelle and Caitlyn Taylor already know what they want to be when they grow up. “My sister wants to be a model and I want to be a designer, designing all her clothes for her,” said Caitlyn.

The juniors already had their first athletic trials yesterday as the season will start soon.
