Manda becomes local scout

Manda and her husband Robbie were invited by the president of IMTA, Nancy Mancuso, to attend the IMTA New York 2015 Convention in July.

MBOMBELA – Local beauties will be happy to hear that they no longer have to travel to other provinces to get scouted.

The well-known local model and founder of Ramps-to-Runway, Manda Gomez, was over the moon when she recently became an International Modelling & Talent Association (IMTA) member who will be scouting for talent locally as well as in Mozambique.

Manda and her husband Robbie were invited by the president of IMTA, Nancy Mancuso, to attend the IMTA New York 2015 Convention in July.

According to Gomez the event is the place where the world’s top models and talent agents, managers and casting directors come together to find new faces.

She says the association offers unique educational opportunities for aspiring models, actors, singers, dancers or songwriters who are serious about their careers. “I’m happy to know that I’m the one who can offer this opportunity at Ramps-to-Runway, but I must admit that I’m a little bit saddened by the fact that I’m not the one walking the runway anymore,” she said.

Manda invited all interested parties to take part in the auditions which will be held on September 19 at her Ramps-to-Runway coaching studio at 38 Mostert Street

in Mbombela.
