BURGERSFORT – Tubatse SUPERSPAR celebrated Mandela Month in style and, as usual, the store treated needy kids throughout the month of July.

First on the receiving list was the Praktiseer Home Community Based Care. The centre received a cake as well as meals on July 17. The kids sang the store’s praises and thanked the staff for the goodies.

On the same day, the management proceeded to the Five Cent Day Care, a non-profit organisation that takes care of children and elderly residents.

The store also donated a cake and meals to people at the centre.

It concluded the Mandela Month festivities by providing meals and also a cake to the children of Selamagae Crèche on July 20.

The staff sang for the kids as they celebrated the achievements of the fallen icon. Manager Denzil Sofie told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that the store cared deeply about children.

“Mandela dedicated his life to kids and the elderly, which is the reason we chose to improve the lives of the young ones in all the three centres,” he said.
