Local Forever Resort’s the cream of the crop

BADPLAAS – To recognise and reward tourism players and businesses that work passionately with pride to deliver a world-class product and service, Badplaas, a Forever Resort was recently identified as the national winner for best accommodation service provider in South Africa in the self-catering three-star category of the 2014 Lilizela Tourism Awards.
For this resort to have qualified for this prestigious prize, guests had the opportunity to share their experiences and to vote it their favourite.
Along with their loyal clients’ input and without the management team’s knowledge, mystery guests spent some time at the resort and rated their experiences accordingly.
On Thursday, the award was presented by the South African minister of tourism, Mr Derrick Hanekom at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City. It gives national recognition to establishments and raises their profile both in South Africa and on the global platform.
According to Mr Eugene van Jaarsveldt, general manager of the resort, this is their first national win which brings great pride to him and his team and means a lot to their business. “We are honoured to have received such a prestigious award.
“We will keep on creating new ways to continue to satisfy our loyal clients and represent the province,” says Van Jaarsveldt.
