The Barberton Daisy welcomed back many friends, some of whom had competed in the tournament for over 40 years.

Barberton Golf Club (BRC) celebrated its 50th Barberton Daisy Golf Tournament from last Wednesday to Saturday, October 2 to 5.

According to the club manager, Wayne Gebhardt, 256 rounds of golf were played over the four days.

The overall winner was calculated on a grand prix points system. Each day’s Stableford winner gets 60 points and the runner-up 48 points, and each place thereafter two points fewer than the previous place. The points are added up and the player with the most wins R7 000. The second and third prizes were 4×4 day trips for four people with Dusty Tracks, valued at R3 000.
