Good Samaritan’s last wish a much-needed boost for Hazyview Pets in Distress

The Hazyview Pets in Distress (PID) recently received a much-needed vehicle donation, formerly driven by the late Christina Preisser from White River.

The PID said: “We have been donated a vehicle through caring animal lovers, and big supporters of the PID.

“Preisser, who recently passed away, said her Nissan X-Trail must be donated to us in case she passes and her son, Markus, in memory of his mother, fulfilled her wishes and gave us the car we were so desperately in need of.

“It is such a wonderful surprise and will soon be used to carry on the work we do in our private vehicles. It is something we have needed and wanted for three years, and all our prayers have been answered. May the son and family be blessed over and over again.”

The PID said, despite the fact that the world we live in is not easy, there are so many good people in it and that is something we all need to remember.

The organisation depended on its workers’ personal vehicles to assist animals in distress, and some of these cars belonged to family members, which made their jobs very difficult.

“We are going to use the car wisely and make sure we keep it in good condition all the time. However, we are still calling on members of the public to assist with fuel, animal food and money to sterilise some of the feral cats. The car will need fuel and we do not have money for it; we always depend on donors to support the animals in need,” the PID said.

As the PID receives no outside funding, any help would be appreciated to ensure the homeless dogs at least have food.
