The butchery shone brightly at this year’s Cleaver Awards when it took the number one spot in Mpumalanga by winning the three tills category as the best in the red meat industry services. The awards were held at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria earlier this year.
While this is the first massive award for the butchery, one of the owners, Riaan van Niekerk, says they are hopeful that it’s the first of many.
“We are speechless and proud of the entire team that made it possible. Without our team, suppliers and clients, we would not have been able to win this award. It is often said that teamwork makes the dream work. We have witnessed this first-hand as a butchery. We take pride in delivering on our promise, and that is top quality, clean and fresh meat, with no soy, at competitive prices,” said Van Niekerk.
He added that the butchery’s location has helped a great deal in serving clients from both South Africa and Mozambique, making it even more diverse. With the braai season upon us, the butchery has encouraged clients to keep an eye on its social media pages for irresistible specials.
“Moving to our current location was the best decision yet, allowing us to appreciate support from the Komatipoort community and surroundings, as well as all our Mozambican clients. We believe that we have a bright future ahead of us and we are constantly looking for ways to better ourselves and be what our community needs.
