No fatalities in multiple accidents on major roads in the Lowveld
Lowvelder received reports of multiple accidents on the R40 and the N4 on August 21.
Three separate accidents were reported today, August 21, two on the R40 and one on the N4 near Komatipoort.
Two trucks crashed on the N4 to Komatipoort between the Strydomsblok and Coopersdal intersections before 08:00.
No injuries were reported and the road was cleared by 11:00.
The second accident involved a truck and a bakkie. It took place on the R40 near Nabana Lodge before 11:00.
The bakkie was lodged under the truck in the middle of the road. According to the Mpumalanga Concerned Citizens Emergency Channel WhatsApp group, no one was injured.
The third accident took place at the intersection of Samora Machel and Madiba drives in Mbombela at 13:00.
This caused a partial obstruction, resulting in a delay in traffic flow during lunchtime.

Various emergency services attended to the scenes.
