IN PHOTOS: When in Rome … Hazyview Summerhill Prep style!

The kids were taught about famous Romans and how they influenced today's world, and they also got a chance to dress and feast in Roman traditions, transforming history education into an adventure.

Summerhill Prep School made learning fun for some Grade Six learners when a true Roman feast was recently hosted.

The kids were taught about famous Romans and how they influenced today’s world, from our calendar to alphabets and numbers. Many people are familiar with Julius Caesar and Augustus, and their feats and follies.

For this day, the learners dressed up as Romans, their class was decorated in line with the Roman Empire and they even served the sorts of food the Romans ate.

The day was filled with fun and laughter, and ‘boring’ history came alive and will be remembered as a wonderful and interesting topic.
