BUCO launched a competition across 36 stores in the northern region (Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Gauteng) and had several winners beaming.

Lowvelders went all in for a share of R1.9m in prizes in a BUCO competition, entering by spending R500 or more at a branch, undoubtedly all eyeing the first prize, a goodie-filled trailer worth R55 000.

Other prizes included an Xbox Series X console worth R14 000 and a grocery voucher worth R7 500.

From May 20 to June 30, the competition took place at 36 stores in the northern region (Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Gauteng), meaning 36 trailers, Xbox consoles and grocery vouchers.

BUCO Nelspruit announced its winners on Thursday July 11.

Five finalists were invited to the store for a lucky draw to receive the prizes. They each picked a key that opened the padlock on one of each of the prizes.

Excitedly going for a first attempt, Steve de Villiers’s key turned to open the trailer filled with tools and goodies, while Pieter Sueltz unlocked the padlock to the Xbox console and Anton Strydom took the grocery voucher.

Corrie van Biljon and George Nel each received BUCO gift vouchers worth R1 000 as their prizes.
