Bahula donates to the needy and vulnerable in Sekhukhune

The donations included wheelchairs and groceries.

The needy and some people living with disabilities were handed some much-needed gifts as part of the Sekhukhune District Municipality’s (SDM) Mandela Month celebrations.

Brand new wheelchairs were donated to 10 people.

During the State of the District Address (Soda) in Ga-Masemola on July 10, the SDM’s mayor, Minah Bahula, seized the opportunity to honour the disadvantaged community as part of the commemoration of Nelson Mandela.

This significant gesture is in line with the annual celebration of Mandela’s legacy and his unwavering devotion to the struggle for freedom and equality.

As part of the celebrations, Bahula presented wheelchairs and groceries to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups within the community.

This act of kindness aims to support those in need and uphold Mandela’s values of compassion and service.
“July is celebrated internationally to honour the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela. It is a time to reflect on his profound impact on our world and to continue his mission of uplifting those who are less fortunate,” said Bahula.
