Missing Lydenburg man; CPF calls for any information

Riaan de Wet never showed up at his parent's house in Lydenburg after he apparently had left a friend's house over the weekend.

The Lydenbrug Community Policing Forum (CPF) is urging residents to be on the lookout for a young man who has been missing since Good Friday.

Riaan de Wet (25) was last seen in Lydenburg on March 29.

De Wet reportedly left a friend’s house and was making his way home. He never arrived home safe, however, and has been missing ever since.

Hugo Fourie of the CPF said in a shared post that his parents are extremely worried about his disappearance and whereabouts.

The following description of De Wet was given: He is 1.97m tall, 25 years of age with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is of a very slender build and was last spotted in the vicinity of Lydenburg.

In the meantime, reports also came through that he might have been spotted at the Ohrigstad SAPS. His last whereabouts is unclear.

If anyone has any information, contact Fourie on 083 299 9204.
