Let’s Support is a local organisation dedicated to aiding existing animal organisations that care for abandoned animals.
It raises funds by running various competitions on its WhatsApp group. Group members can enter these competitions for only R20, with a chance to win sponsored prizes.
Founded in 2023 by animal lover Cathy de Nysschen, whose poodle Roxy passed away from cancer several months ago, Let’s Support was born out of her desire to assist abandoned animals. Her daughter, Maritzka Prinsloo, a graphic designer and photographer, supports her mother in managing the group, designing competition pages and creating other necessary materials.

Prinsloo emphasised the importance of community assistance, stating that without this support, they wouldn’t be able to continue this organisation. The community is encouraged to join the WhatsApp group, participate in competitions, or donate items such as dog or cat food and blankets, which they will provide to organisations in need.
