The Mpumalanga Youth Choir put on several performances to help the Lowveld get into the Christmas spirit.

The Mpumalanga Youth Choir recently took the Lowveld by storm with a weekend filled with various beautiful performances, from the Sudwala Caves and Mankele, to a flash mob at i’langa Mall.

The weekend started with a magical show at the caves on Friday night, December 1.

The choir’s Nhlakanipho Mashiane said iconic tunes like “Mary’s Boy Child” resonated through the caves, creating a festive atmosphere, and that the choir was joined by artist and former member Marcia Keen.

Mashiane said the following day, the choir held a flash mob at i’langa Mall – a pleasant surprise for shoppers that helped to get the Mbombela residents at the mall into the Christmas spirit.

Later that day, the choir held a Christmas in the Garden event at Mankele. Mashiane said Lowveld families and friends who were in attendance enjoyed the festive event, singing Christmas carols along with the choir.
