Mbombela’s Halls Market a fun family day

The Halls Market is the oldest one in Mbombela, and is in the process of being restored to its former glory.

The Halls Farmstall Market outside Mbombela came back with a bang last weekend, with scores of both visitors and stallholders flocking to the grounds.

From pancakes, delicious foods and sweet treats to stalls selling clothes, handmade jewellery and second-hand items, there was something for everyone to peruse.

The market was held over Saturday and Sunday, August 26 and 27. Organiser Natasha Koekemoer said there were over 50 stallholders on Saturday. While Sunday’s market had fewer stalls, she said both days were very well supported.

“The Halls Market was the first in Mbombela, and we really want to get it back to its former glory. We had a great turnout from the community, and we hope the market will continue to grow and be big like it used be,” she said.

The next market will be held on September 25.
