Nomads and friends enjoy stunning day at Mbombela Golf Club to further junior golf

Players, organisers and sponsors united in a good cause.

To help nurture young talent in the province, Mpumalanga Junior Golf, with the support of the Lowveld Nomads, hosted a Furtherance of Golf Fundraiser Golf Day at Mbombela Golf Club on August 17.

The competition was a better-ball with a scrambled drive format.

“What a special day this fundraiser was. Held in perfect weather conditions, Mbombela Golf Club’s course was in excellent condition and the tournament was played in the true spirit of the game.

“This day was made possible due to the 60 golfers who participated, generous sponsors, the team at Mbombela Golf Club, and the organisers, namely Jurie Grobler and Keith Viviers (Mpumalanga Junior Golf Committee members), Brian Hogg (Nomads Lowveld), and Dalton and Chantal Viviers (DBV Golf).

“A special thank you to Thriston Lawrence for his generous donation of signed memorabilia. We look forward to welcoming you all back next year for another day of plenty laughs and good golf in aid of the development of junior golf in our province,” said Mpumalaga Junior Golf on its Facebook page.
