One suspect tracked down after Claassen murders at Echo Caves

Limpopo police believe more arrests will follow.

Police arrested one suspect (30) in connection with the brutal murders of Hennie (77) and Anneke Claassen (76).

They were killed at the Echo Caves, outside Ohrigstad, on Saturday June 3.

The suspect was nabbed in Ivory Park, Thembisa, on Wednesday June 14 at 01:00. The bodies of the Claassens were burnt beyond recognition in their separate houses on the farm Klipfonteinhoek.

According to the Limpopo SAPS a massive intelligence-driven operation led to the arrest of the suspect.

A private investigation company based in Thabazimbi, Bosveld Misdaadondersoeke, was an integral part of the investigation and arrest. According to the company, the suspect was known to the Claassens and a previous employee.

Police believe more arrests are to follow.
