Truck accident in Bushbuckridge kills three people
The fatal crash occurred earlier today, October 12, and the crash site is in the process of being cleared.
Three people were killed instantly in yet another truck accident, this time on the R40 near Dwarsloop in Bushbuckridge this morning, October 12.
This latest tragedy follows a spate of fatal truck accidents that have occurred across the Lowveld in recent months.
A statement by the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison’s spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi, said the crash had taken place at 11:00.

“This happened when an articulated truck drove over a sedan and both vehicles went over an embankment on the side of the road,” said Mmusi.
He said the truck driver, the driver of the sedan and its passenger were all killed on impact.
“It is not clear at this point what caused the crash, however, it is suspected that the driver of the sedan may have been attempting to overtake before the crash,” he said.

Mmusi said investigations into the crash is under way.
“Emergency personnel and law enforcement officers are currently at the scene for recovery of the wreckage and other related processes,” he said.
