Hillary was abducted from The Plaza of Friday afternoon, April 29, and was found dead in the early hours of Tuesday May 3.

National police minister Bheki Cele also visited the Gardee family the day Hillary’s body was found. He offered his condolences and said that police were expected to arrest those responsible for Hillary’s death in less than 72 hours.

Malema, who spoke to the press outside the Gardee home, said it was a sad day for South Africa as another young woman had been murdered.

“We have committed to the family to find these killers and we have also committed to Minister Cele that he must find the culprits before we do, because if we find him we cannot give any guarantee as to what is going to happen,” said Malema.

“We have deployed all manner of resources on the ground to look for the criminals,” he said.

Malema said that according to reports he has received, there is no reason to look for suspects across the borders of South Africa as it is believed the culprits are South African.

“We want to teach him a lesson he will never forget for the rest of his life because he took the wrong person, and anyone who touches our children, touches us, and they do not want to see the ugly side of the EFF.

He said that the criminals responsible would be found, whether it was next week or three years from now.

“We will find them,” he said.
