Murder accused back in court for the start of his trial

Ulrich Mabunda is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Tebogo (39), in Stonehenge last May.

The trial for murder accused Ulrich Mabunda (41) started today, October 5, at the Mpumalanga High Court.

Mabunda is facing charges of shooting his wife, Tebogo (39), 10 times and killing her at their Stonehenge home on May 14 last year.

After allegedly shooting his wife, Mabunda allegedly turned the gun on himself in an alleged attempt to end his own life.

Mabunda has made numerous court appearance since he was charged and was granted bail, set at R10 00 at the Mpumalanga High Court last year.

Mabunda’s trial is set to continue until October 15. Friends, family and supporters gathered outside the court today with posters and placards in hand, calling for justice for Tebogo and to witness the first day of the start of the trial.
