Silent rights aids victims in the fight against domestic violence and GBV

August is Womens Month thus featuring an organization that is all about bringing women together to support each other in the fight against women abuse.

Silent Rights is an organisation that was established in 2020 in the fight against domestic violence and gender-based violence.

The organisation creates awareness and offers help as well as support to victims at no cost. It educates members of the public about abuse.

According to Silent Rights, it was formed from direct experience domestic violence and gender-based violence. Due to this, the organisation takes a new approach from various directions to ensure victims are helped in every way possible across South Africa.

How Silent Rights helps victims

Abuse affects every area of a woman’s life and she will forever be changed in some way. Because of this the organisation focuses to provide services and resources to help women rebuild their lives. According to Silent Rights, most women do not have the financial ability to get professional services to fight for their rights and to aid their recovery which is why the organisation ensures to provide all services free of charge, and without restrictions.

The services currently offered by Silent Rights are: emotional support, legal guidance counselling, life coaching, empowerment and skills development, and physical wellness.
