Food For Life donates parcels to Mbombela communities

Food For Life Nelspruit handed out 216 large food parcels to families severely affected by the pandemic, living in communities around Mbombela.

It is a non-profit organisation with its main purpose to eradicate hunger and malnutrition across South Africa.

The food donations went to families living in Pienaar, KaBokweni, Valencia, Nelsville, Hazyview and Mataffin.

The parcels included all the necessities for a large household as well as some Christmas goodies for the children.

Food For Life Nelspruit executive member, Mahesh Srini, thanked all the donors for making the large delivery during the festive period possible.

“May God bless the donors for opening their hearts and wallets, the suppliers for their discounted special pricing and our incredible team for their exceptional selfless service to make a difference in the lives our community,” said Srini.

“It is a very touching and special Christmas time of giving where families do not have to worry about how they will put food on the table but rather celebrate joyously with their family and friends,” he said.
