CMR receives food parcels donated by AgriSA

The Christelike Maatskaplike Raad (CMR) received a massive donation of food on Friday to distribute throughout the Lowveld to families and people in need.

MBOMBELA – CMR Lowveld supervisor, Cindi Tshabalala said the donation was made by AgriSA and the Mike Louftie Foundation while Ludie Erasmus Transport sponsored the delivery of the goods.

CMR Mpumalanga branches from White River, Barberton, Komatipoort, Bushbuckridge and Lydenburg gathered at the Freshlinq Nelspruit Fresh Produce Market grounds on Friday afternoon to collect the food so they could load them into their cars, package them into food parcels and distribute them across the province on Monday.

“We appreciate that all our stakeholders made this donation possible in such a difficult time when most of our beneficiaries have lost their jobs,” she said.

“As CMR, we want to bring love, light and hope, as our slogan says, to all those who are in tough positions. There is one culture that can bring unity and that is the culture of giving,” said Tshabalala.

“It does not matter what we look like, what we wear, we all inherited the ability to help and we are doing this through the food donations that were made on Friday,” she said.
