Bikers unite against farm attacks
Louise Andrews observed on her Facebook page that "when it comes to standing up and together for a good cause, bikers most certainly set the benchmark".
This was again illustrated this past weekend when thousands of bikers from across the country united to take a stand against farm murders. De La Ray riders in Mbombela decided to organise a local ride for those who could not join the main ride in Pretoria.
The group, escorted by Capt Pottie Potgieter and his team of the SAPS, departed from Crossing Centre to Casterbridge in White River. Gordon Grobler and Johan de Jager said, “Among bikers, the brotherhood philosophy is part and parcel of the biker DNA and without farmers, every single South African will suffer as a result of food insecurity.

The De La Rays also expressed their gratitude towards all the riders from other clubs who supported this awareness ride.
A prayer by Ps Amanda Bushney of the Sabi Bomb Shelter Church expressed the desire for everyone to reach out to one another and to God to create awareness and unite in order to find solutions for the many challenges that confront us.
A biker’s standard fashion accessory may be the leather-clad look, but these guys and ladies have proved more often than not, that their hearts are larger and louder than their bikes and they understand and live by the support they can and do render towards others when the chips are down.
