Spring is in the air

Traditions on this day range from having a traditional braai, shaving your head and beard, visiting the beach, wearing bright clothes and some children celebrate by spraying each other with water.

The first day of spring is just a day away, are you ready?
Spring is the most celebrated season of the year in the country. It is celebrated on September 1.

Traditions on this day range from having a traditional braai, shaving your head and beard, visiting the beach, wearing bright clothes and some children celebrate by spraying each other with water.

In the past four months the weather kept us indoors, but now we can put away all those heavy jackets, not forgetting the boots and hot comfort food. We get to swap all that for sandals, summer dresses and eat ice cream.

One of the most amazing sights about spring is the flowers blooming, the trees changing colours and everything looking bright and beautiful.

How will you be celebrating the first day of spring?
