LYDENBURG – Three unidentified bidders bought nearly all the computers and two bakkies which were attached by the sheriff of the court from Thaba Chweu Municipality (TCM), for R360 000 on Wednesday.
Various items of office equipment, 21 computers and two bakkies were auctioned off at the sheriff’s office to settle TCM’s outstanding debt of R290 000.
Eight separate judgements, including one from AfriForum for R60 000, led to these moveable assets of TCM being attached on Tuesday and sold on public auction the next day.

The bidding by the three mystery bidders caused quite a controversy at the public auction. If anyone has any information on who these bidders in the picture are, please contact Narda Vermaak on 083-554-3961 or send us a private message on our Facebook page.
