Tough times never last

Literally everything seems to be going wrong in our world right now, but it will all turn around and everything will be fine.

I will share my bits of experience with you (mind you, some people are going through worse).

For the past three weeks, it has gone from the highest point to the lowest, deepest valley. I bet I stayed longer in the valley.

On February 28 I passed my driver’s licence. Driving by myself gave me a fright that I do not think I will forget hurriedly.

Three days later I bumped my car into a wall. I ruined the bumper and the radiator, however, my brother said it was not that bad.

The following week, someone broke into my new residence while I was awake. I saw this person break the window and he still had the nerve to come inside, despite the fact that I had seen him. My phone and  newly purchased laptop were stolen.

Last Friday was my graduation. Yippee! Second belt ticked off the list.

I arrived back in Mbombela and my car had been tampered with. The new radiator I had bought that was still in the boot, as well as the car radio and battery  had been stolen.

You’ve got to be kidding me.

Soon after, we had two people diagnosed with Covid-19 in South Africa, and the next minute there were 116.

Many people have been asked to self-isolate and others have been panic-buying. It seems that we have run out of hand sanitisers and face masks.

Let’s be honest – this is too much for us to bear.

Doing my honour’s felt like the end of the world, but everything that has happened over the past three weeks is another ball game altogether.

However, what is interesting about life is that at the lowest valley, there is the highest mountain waiting for you. Still, you better learn those lessons as you soldier on.

Life lessons learned will help you do better in the next journey and remind you that all will be well .

Have faith – in time everything will be just fine.
