No bail for alleged serial rapist
An alleged serial rapist, who used the same tactic to lure at least two girls into a guest house or nearby surroundings, was not granted bail last week.
The accused allegedly phoned his victims and told them that his name was either Karabo or Jayden.
He would then tell them that he works for a non-governmental organisation, that he had scouted them and would like to enter them into a modelling competition.
He first appeared in court on January 22 for an extended bail application, but investigating officer Sgt Nthombi Mukgadi vigorously fought the application.

He told Lowvelder that the police believe that they have a very strong case against the accused.
The accused appeared in court again last week for his bail hearing. Sgt Mukgadi told Lowvelder that he did not receive bail, as his attorney was not present.
At the time of going to press, no date had been set for any future court appearances.
