A PGA club professional, CEO of Mbombela Golf Club, owner of The Golf Dr, and proud Manchester United fan.
Following matric, he was selected to attend Tshwane University of Technology’s golf programme and when he requested a referral letter from Darren Millington, the PGA club professional at Pollak Park at the time, he asked him to assist him in the shop over the weekend and has never looked back.

Plumb participated in various sports at school, but after being selected at TUT, the rest took a back seat. His current roles involve overseeing the whole of Mbombela Golf Club’s operations.
This typically means you cannot be everywhere, and he relies on a dedicated support team.

“So it generally starts with coffee, staff chats, then I meet and greet with golfers, members, handle emails, golf days and so on. I close off my day with some sundowners on the deck and enjoy the view,” Plumb said.
