SANParks ranger accidentally shot and killed during encounter with buffalo

SANParks will be issuing a statement about the incident later today

SKUKUZA – A ranger was accidentally shot and killed during an encounter with a buffalo in the Kruger National Park earlier today.

The man was declared dead shortly after having been flown to Mediclinic Nelspruit by the Mpumalanga Emergency Medical Services helicopter at about 13:00.

Mr Glenn Phillips, managing executive of the Kruger National Park, on enquiry confirmed the incident and added that SANParks would be issuing a statement later today.
