Five people were shot and killed in a brutal attack in Richards Bay in KZN this morning.

Four died at the scene, while one died while en route to hospital in a private vehicle.

The bloody incident unfolded adjacent to the parking lot on Bullion Boulevard, near the post office.

While unconfirmed, it is said that the incident could be gang related and involve drugs.

At the time of publishing, there was a heavy police presence on the scene.
