Obstacle courses pose no obstacle to these racers at all!

Members of the OCR Nelspruit Eagles Club took part in the Virgin Active Warrior Race held in KZN earlier this month.

Some locals displayed their strength and resilience during the second Virgin Active Warrior Race in KwaZulu-Natal on July 22.

The Warrior Race is known as South Africa’s largest obstacle course racing series. These courses provide a great way to spend some time outdoors with family, friends and work colleagues, and incorporate obstacles suitable for all levels of athletes, from beginner to elite.

The stand-out performances of the day for OCR Nelspruit Eagles Club were delivered by Reynard de Bruin and Ethan Esterhuizen.

De Bruin raced to a resounding victory in the Commando Elite race, placing first overall. Short on his heels was the youngster, Esterhuizen, who claimed the second position, and with that, also came first in the U16 age group.

OCR Nelspruit Eagles Club does not only boast these good placings in KZN, but also the inclusion of two of their members into the South African Obstacle Course Racing Team.
