He allegedly killed Pretty Mazibuko and her sister, Marccia Mazibuko, a policewoman, in KaNyamazane last year.

Nkune is facing two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

According to court documents, Nkune had been in a relationship with Pretty at the time of the murders. The documents state that he was at a house in KaNyamazane in the company of the two sisters, friends and neighbours on May 15 last year when he began arguing with Pretty.

Nkune reportedly left the house and returned later, armed with a gun. He allegedly began shooting at Pretty, but missed. Pretty reportedly ran to the car in which Nkune had arrived and attempted to reverse out of the yard. Nkune allegedly continued to fire shots at Pretty until she could not drive the vehicle any longer and the car became stuck in some soil.

The court documents said two occupants in a white Toyota Yaris passed by and offered to help get the vehicle out of the soil, but Nkune allegedly started shooting at them, too.
The occupants were not harmed.

Nkune then walked back towards the house and began calling for Marccia. He allegedly started chasing her and shot her outside the house before leaving the scene.

Pretty and Marccia were rushed to KaNyamazane Clinic where they were both pronounced dead.
