Physical pain and loss tire Spoorloos team out on day four

Day four of #HaalAsem started off on a high note, but after facing some challenges, the 80km journey could not end soon enough for the men.

The Spoorloos team embarked on their #HaalAsem journey on the Orange River on March 12 and have since completed 330km.

Their day four’s trajectory started bright and sunny at Sandgat Resort at Vanderkloof Dam on March 16.

The men set the day’s plans in motion and even before the coffee was cold, they had embarked on their 80km journey towards Hopetown.

The first shift passed by with ease and the teams enjoyed a quick lunch break at Orania, revelling in the beautiful landscapes of the area.

After fuelling their bodies (and their boats), they were on their way yet again and soon approached dangerous rapids, where the men quickly reconsidered their options to bypass or go through.

Numerous challenges presented themselves throughout the day: they experienced physical pain, and loss as Francois lost a phone in the rapids. The long day took its toll on the team members and they were very relieved to reach their destination for a good night’s rest.
