Spot eight-legged creatures during Sterkspruit Nature Reserve spider walk

Experts of Spider Club SA will host the event.

The next spider walk will take place at Sterkspruit Nature Reserve on Sunday October 23. It will start at 08:30.

The hosts, Spider Club SA, have some experts who take the public out into the field, show them how to find spiders, and share tips for their identification.
“Come and join us at Sterkspruit Nature Reserve for some spider hunting. There are so many interesting spiders to learn about,” said Malcolm Bain, Sterkspruit Nature Reserve’s manager.

The Spider Club of Southern Africa is a natural history group. From education to fun walks, members share their enthusiasm with the public, teaching them about these eight-legged creatures, better known as spiders.

The costs are R100 per adult and R20 per child under 12 years old, in lieu of a donation to the reserve. Please RSVP. Contact Jarrod on 067 833 2191 or email info@spiderclub.co.za.
