Mbombela security companies help Masoyi police recover stolen car

AG Solutions and Hi-Tech Security worked with the Masoyi police and the Flying Squad to recover a stolen vehicle and a bicycle.

Three armed men robbed a Steiltes home and held a couple at gunpoint on September 8 at 18:30. A provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said three robbers demanded the keys to the couple’s two vehicles, a grey Ford Ranger and a Mitsubishi Lancer.

He said the men had tied the two victims up using cable ties and shoelaces before loading electrical household appliances and other items into the Mitsubishi and driving off in it.

The bicycle that was stolen, too.

“The victims managed to get to the Nelspruit Police Station, where a case of house robbery was registered,” said Mohlala. Meanwhile, AG Solutions’ Callen Herbst had received a call from Bossies Community Justice’s head, Albert Gryvenstein, who informed him of a hijacking of a Ford Ranger, and that the vehicle was moving towards Masoyi.

As Herbst was leaving his house, he received a call from Hi-Tech Security, which also informed him of the hijacking. He called Hi-Tech White River to assist with the recovery.

Herbst said he stopped near a graveyard in Jerusalem near Masoyi, based on received information.

“I called Hi-Tech White River to meet me at the graveyard, and when they arrived, we called the Nelspruit Flying Squad and waited from them.”
He said after 30 minutes the flying squad arrived, and they called the Masoyi police as backup.

“After the Masoyi police had arrived at the scene, we all went into the graveyard and recovered the vehicle. The dashboard had been completely stripped.”

As Herbst, Hi-Tech and the police were leaving, Herbst said he spotted a pink and purple bicycle that Hi-Tech Nelspruit confirmed had been stolen during the robbery.
