Man missing for 10 days: family still searching

A Masoyi man went missing from the Mbombela CBD area on July 29 this year. His family has asked the community to contact them urgently with any information.

A local family is desperately searching for a man who went missing in Mbombela on Friday afternoon, July 29, while waiting for his bus home.

The 29-year-old Siyabonga Sambo, who lives in Swalala Game near Masoyi, has not been heard from or seen since he was last seen near the Sasol garage on the corner of Samora Machele Drive and Bell Street at midday.

Sambo was due to go home for the weekend when he was done with the day’s work on a farm on the Uityk Road, where he is an employee.

Sambo was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, skinny jeans and black Adidas sneakers.

A missing person’s case has been opened by his family at both the Masoyi and Nelspruit police stations.

Sambo’s family said it is unusual and concerning that he has disappeared without contacting them or his employer.

Sambo’s employer, Jacques Goosen, said he has worked on the farm for eight years and would never miss work without telling him or his colleagues.

His family is pleading with the Lowveld community to provide any information on his whereabouts.
