The third round of the Lowveld Golf Association’s Race to Highlands Gate took place at Pilgrims’ Rest Golf Club on November 13. This second-last tournament was the perfect opportunity for the golf players to build up their scores before the last round.
The tee-off started for most started at around 09:00 and the course was in a good condition. The scenery was beautiful with lots of trees and majestic mountains that really showcased the beauty of the town.

Golfers found the course challenging, especially with the weather that took charge of the day. The greens were tough to read, but were still approached with top-notch skills. The players played 18 holes and had a delicious lunch after the first nine.
Eaglesview Driving Range sponsored the prizes for the third round of the Highlands Gate Race and the Lowveld Golf Association continued their support in elevating the Lowveld golf clubs. The tournament race would not have happened had it not been for Keith Viviers who organised the third round.
The last round of the race will be at White River Golf Club on December 11.
