Multi-vehicle accident causes R40 to close
It is believed that the trucks brakes failed.
A multi-vehicle accident occurred on the R40 near Riverside Mall earlier today.
It is alleged the driver of a timber truck travelling in the direction of Mbombela from White River lost control of it and slammed into several vehicles.
The truck went off the road, landed in some bushes and burst into flames. It is as yet unclear how many people have been injured during the incident.
