Riverside businesses join hands to do good

Some of the leading business entities in the Lowveld have joined hands to do some good.

They are inviting the community to participate in their efforts to collect clothing, linen and blankets as part of an extended 67 Minutes for Nelson Mandela Day campaign.

Emnotweni Casino and Hotels, Lowveld Media, Riverside Mall and Riverside Park are setting up a charity washing line at Riverside Mall, where they will be accepting donations of clothing, linen and blankets from July 18 to 30.

All Lowvelders are also invited to help them decide who the beneficiaries of this wonderful initiative should be.

Nominations can be made by looking out for Lowveld Media social media posts and naming your preferred beneficiary. Readers will be informed of the final choice of beneficiaries by July 26.

“We understand that the demand for help is big, but we believe that with the help of our community, we can truly make a difference in the lives of some of those in need. For this reason, we urge all patrons and businesses to support this initiative,” commented Michelle Higgo, the general manager of Emnotweni StayEasy and Southern Sun Hotels.
