Is your car ready for the road?
#Festive2020 Before you head off on your trip, remember to run through these basic checks to make sure of your car's condition.
To be safe, make sure that you visit a mechanic for the car to get checked. Here are eight things you need to check before you hit the road:
1. Make sure all your tyres are properly inflated
2. Make sure the wipers are operating and cleaning correctly
3. Make sure your fuel gauge and temperature gauge are operating correctly
4. Check that the spare wheel is secured and in good condition
5. Make sure all your lights and indicators are working
6. If towing a trailer or caravan, make sure you understand your vehicle’s towing capacity
7. Make sure your car has had a service
8. Find your car’s spare key and keep it with you in case you lose the one you are using
