Alleged child molester’s case postponed
The security guard accused of sexually assaulting a minor in March will appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on November 25.

Since his arrest, the 35-year-old has appeared in court a number of times and has been released on R1 000 bail. The suspect faces sexual assault charges, two rape charges, possession of child pornography material and creating child pornography.

Seven farm attack suspects back in court next week
The seven suspects accused of attacking the 25-year-old farm manager, Deon de Bruyn, at his employer, Estelle Jansen’s home, will appear in the Mpumalanga High Court on November 23.

They face charges of murder, attempted murder and attempted rape after allegedly fatally shooting De Bruyn and critically wounding Jansen.

Court grants postponement in alleged wife-killer case
Alleged wife killer, Ulrich Mabunda, is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Tebogo, on May 14. The alleged murder occurred during the national lockdown in the Stonehenge area.

Mabunda is purported to have shot his wife and himself in an apparent suicide attempt. The case will resume in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on January 8, 2021 for a final investigation and possibly a trial date to be set.

Masher murder case to be heard early next year
The policeman accused of shooting well-known Mbombela businessman, Mervyn Masher, will be in the dock on January 11, 2021. Sgt David Samson of the Mpumalanga Flying Squad was off duty on June 9, 2019, when he allegedly shot Masher at an accident scene on the R40

Etienne van Wyk accused set to appear next week
The murder accused of former South African cycling champion, Etienne van Wyk, Mafika Ronnie Nkosi (43) of Elukwatini, remains in custody following an appearance in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Nkosi faces charges of housebreaking with aggravating circumstances and murder. The case was postponed to November 23 for the Director of Public Prosecutions’ decision.
