The Nelspruit Police Station is hit by another case of Covid-19

Brig Leonard Hlathi said the building will be decontaminated and services are expected to continue as normal on Thursday.

The Nelspruit Police Station will be temporarily closed after a police official tested positive for Covid-19.

Brig Leonard Hlathi, the provincial police spokesperson,  said, “The Community Service Centre will now be operated from a caravan which is set up at the front entrance of the police station which is at 15 Bester Street.”

Mbombelans who need to be assisted are requested to call  072- 859- 0038, for any emergencies and complaints which will be attended to.

“The telephone lines at Nelspruit Police Station Community Service Centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. However, service delivery will not be hampered,” said Hlathi.

He added that the building will be decontaminated and services are expected to continue as normal on Thursday.

“The SAPS management in Mpumalanga apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this. The station commander, Maj Gen Dorah Xaba, can  be contacted on 082-970-5761 or the Visible Policing commander, Col Bheki Mlambo, who can be reached  on 082- 462- 2582,” he concluded
