MEC test positive for Covid-19

The MEC for finance, economic development and tourism, Pat Ngomane, has tested positive for Covid-19.

Ngomane received his tests results on Saturday September 26. Confirming this sad news, was the department’s spokesperson, Letshela Jonas, who told this publication that the MEC is under self-quarantine at home.

“He is doing well, and self-isolating at his residence as he continues to take all necessary precautions prescribed by the health professionals,” said Jonas.

He said the MEC is continuing with his governmental duties from home. ALSO READ: “The MEC will continue to work from his house to ensure the success of the economic development programme and fiscal management of the resources, especially at this critical period of economic recovery,” added Jonas.

“We wish him a speedy recovery and extend well wishes to all communities affected by this pandemic in our province and throughout the world,” he concluded.
