Lockdown day 6: Motivational message of the day

Pr Freddie Steenkamp of Communio Church shares today's encouraging message to South Africans during the Covid-19 lockdown. #LockdownSouthAfrica #LockdownFor21Days

Guard your heart from condemnation and confusion

We are all in the same boat. So many voice notes and videos reach us during this time of lockdown!

Some of it brings condemnation, confusion and leave us with fear in our hearts. These are messages that are dark, hopeless, destructive and remind you of your past.

Conviction from the Holy Spirit brings light, is hopeful, uplifting and points you to the future with faith in your heart.  Confusion from the enemy brings oppression, darkness and fear.

Peace from the Holy Spirit brings clarity  and light! In spite of what happens globally and around you, your inner world can experience calmness and hope.

When you are experiencing condemnation or confusion, stop! Ignore and remove it from you as soon and as far away as possible.

If in doubt, leave it out! Please, this is a time to watch out and guard your heart! Embrace the conviction and clarity the Holy Spirit will bring as you wait on the Lord at the
altar of prayer!

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

  • Hebrews 13:9 – “So don’t let anyone lead you astray with all sorts of novel and exotic teachings. It is more beautiful to feast on grace and be inwardly strengthened than to be obsessed with dietary rules which in themselves have no lasting benefit.” (TPT)
  • 1 Corinthians 14:33 – “For God is the God of harmony, not confusion, as is the pattern in all the churches of God’s holy believers.” (TPT)
  • Romans 8:1 “So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One!” (TPT)

Prayer: “Lord Jesus, thank you for Your Word and Your Spirit, that brings conviction and clarity and not condemnation and confusion in this time! I will guard my heart with Your peace and love!  “Amen.”
